Instead of packaged or dairy based puddings, try this easy homemade snack. Packed with powerful antioxidants (including the raw chocolate), healthy dietary fats (avocado) as well as carbohydrates to fuel you through workouts while tasting delicious. Chocolate mousse for breakfast even, why not!
Chocolate Avocado Mousse
4-5 soaked pitted dates
3 Tbsp of (Raw) Cocao Powder
1 Avocado - pit removed
1 Banana - peeled (just being sure)
1 Tbsp of honey
2 tsp of vanilla extract
Place all ingredients in the blender, food processor or Vitamix and mix until smooth. Consume with a spoon or dip in your favorite fruit slices, like apples. If you prefer a firmer mousse consistency place in the fridge for up to 1 hr. This yummy snack serves 4-6 people and can last up to 3 days in the fridge, but I have yet to see leftovers.
