  • How long does each course take to complete?

    Courses take approximately 60min to complete. Each course is broken down into mini bite size lessons 6-12 min long. There are follow-up review questions after each lesson to help young athletes retain and fully understand the information they have just learned.

  • How much do these courses cost?

    The 60min courses that will change your young athletes life is only a $24.95 investment each. A second option is purchase this course as a team to bringing the cost to between $10-$12 an athlete. email [email protected] to discuss our options

  • What age are these courses appropriate for?

    Sports Nutrition 101 - is targeted at athlete between the ages of 12-18, although kids as young as 10 have benefited from this course and as mature at 85. Advanced Sports Nutrition is more for 15 years old and up and is aimed for the more serious and competitive athlete that wants to take their sport to the next level, provincial, national or to the world stage.

  • How can I help my young athlete implement these lessons learned?

    After the the course is completed there are lots of food ideas and recipes that kids can use to make this transition easier. As coach, teacher or parent it important you do the course with them or by yourself so you understand the fundamentals yourself and lead by example. Getting them to teach you, can build their self-confidence and encourage them to choose healthier foods.

  • As a coach how can I sign up my whole team to benefit from this course?

    Every member of your team can have individual access to this course to complete in their own home at their own pace. Contact [email protected] to discuss your options. Pricing will range from $10-$12 an athlete when purchased in bulk but the total cost will be paid for by yourself or your organization. You will be given a coupon code to share with your team members so you can benefit together. A second option is to purchase one course but share your screen before each practice or in one go and complete the course together. To complete the quizzes athletes can use the kahoot app to create some friendly competition. Prizes work well to encourage athletes to answer questions and pay attention to the lessons if winning an Olympic Gold medal is not enough.

  • How can I use this course as a teacher or coach?

    As a teacher or coach you can purchase the course and viola your lesson planning is done! There are also quiz questions already in place that you can use to make paper copies for students or use the kahoot app and each student can have fun answering for themselves.

  • How can I use this course as a parent?

    Watching this workshop with your athlete will likely help them to stay focused on completing the course, you will both learn the fundamentals for how food effects our energy for sports and everyday life. If you watch the videos on a common computer or tv screen you can choose to answer the review questions together in the course platform or use the app Kahoot and link/pin to answer individually using the ipads, phones or other digital devices.   • What is the difference between Sports Nutrition 101 and Advanced Sports Nutrition?

    Sports Nutrition 101 is the foundation for a young athletes general knowledge about eating for energy. This fundamental course makes it easy to understand how the foods we eat effect our energy and health. Advanced Sports Nutrition course is meant to build on the foundation of Sports Nutrition 101 by diving into more depth on calculating an individuals caloric needs, energy expenditure during and energy deficient after training and competitions. More emphasis is put on understanding the individual athletes needs and for their sport of choice.
